Every time I made this, everyone just raves about how good it is. It is an easy and fast recipe.

  • 3/4 c
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 c
    quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onions
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    prepared mustard

How to Make Little Cheddar Meat Loaves


  1. In a bowl, beat the egg an milk. Stir in the cheese, oats, onion and salt. Add beef and mix well.
  2. Recipe says to shape into eight or nine loaves. I prefer to shape it into 4 loaves. Can freeze 2 for another meal. Placed in greased baking pan.
  3. Combine ketchup, mustard and brown sugar and spoon over the loaves. Yummy.
  4. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until no longer pink. If using a thermometer, cook to 160 degrees.
