Every time I made this, everyone just raves about how good it is. It is an easy and fast recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 - egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons prepared mustard

How To Make little cheddar meat loaves

  • Step 1
    In a bowl, beat the egg an milk. Stir in the cheese, oats, onion and salt. Add beef and mix well.
  • Step 2
    Recipe says to shape into eight or nine loaves. I prefer to shape it into 4 loaves. Can freeze 2 for another meal. Placed in greased baking pan.
  • Step 3
    Combine ketchup, mustard and brown sugar and spoon over the loaves. Yummy.
  • Step 4
    Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until no longer pink. If using a thermometer, cook to 160 degrees.
