Ingredients

  • 1 - egg
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 6-7 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 packages yeast

How To Make ice box rolls

  • Step 1
    Beat egg until thick
  • Step 2
    Beat in sugar
  • Step 3
    add butter melted in hot water
  • Step 4
    add cold water
  • Step 5
    when luke warm, add yeast and salt.
  • Step 6
    add flour
  • Step 7
    beat well, cover tightly refrigerate
  • Step 8
    as dough is needed,pinch off enough to make rolls. Let rise. bake at 425 for 12 to 15 min. until tops or golden brown.
  • Step 9
    dough should be good for 6 days
