Cardamom Rolls

2 pkgdry yeast

1 cwarm water

1 csugar

2/3 cshortening

3 tspsalt

12cardamom seeds, crushed (about 5 pods)

2eggs

12 cflour

4 cwarm milk
How to Make Cardamom Rolls
- Remove and crush cardamom seeds in a mixing bowl, with back of spoon. Add 4 Tbsp. flour, 4 tsp. of sugar, yeast and 1 cup of warm water to bowl. Mix together, with electric mixer. Set aside to rise 20 minutes. Also take eggs from refrigerator to allow to come to room temperature.
- Add sugar, shortening, salt, flour, warm milk and eggs to mixture. Let double in size. You will need a very large bowl. Pour out on a floured surface. Knead adding more flour if needed. Shape into desired shapes and place on a greased cookie sheet. Rise 50 minutes or until they fill the pan. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
