Ingredients
- 1/2 cup buttery crisco
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 cup golden raisins (optional)
- TOPPING
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1-2 teaspoon cinnamon (optionl)
- 4 tablespoons butter cold
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
How To Make bob's babka

Step 1Cream Crisco with sugar and eggs. Beat smooth

Step 2Sift the dry ingredients. Alternately add the buttermilk and flour mixture to the creamed mixture and beat.

Step 3Place in 2 loaf pans

Step 4Crumble the topping mixture together with a fork (or your hands) until it holds together. Place on top of the babkas in the pans.

Step 5Bake at 350 for 45 minutes, or until center is baked (not doughy.
