Ingredients

2 c
flour
11/2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt
1 1/2 tsp
cinnamon
2
eggs
1 c
sugar
2/3 c
oil
1/3 c
milk
1 tsp
vanilla
2 c
chopped apples
1/2 c
chopped walnuts
2 Tbsp
shredded coconut (optional)
3 Tbsp
sugar
1 tsp
cinnamon

How to Make Apple Nut Bread

Step-by-Step

  • 1Sift together dry ingredients. Set aside.
  • 2Combine eggs, sugar, oil, milk and vanilla in a large bowl.
  • 3Add flour mixture; mix gently.
  • 4Fold in apples, nuts and coconut.
  • 5Spoon into lightly greased 9 X 5 inch pan.
    Sprinkle top with 3 tbsps. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon, which have been mixed together.
  • 6Bake 60 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • 7Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes.
    Remove from pan and cool completely on rack.
  • 8Mix by hand to avoid overmixing and to insure a tender, moist loaf.
