I found this recipe in an magazine in the doctors office, looked so good I copied it down and tweaked it here and there to make it my own. I am always looking for new ideas.

  • 1 c
    almonds, slivered(finely chopped)
  • 4 oz
    almond paste(finaly mashed)
  • 1/2 c
    light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    butter (softened)
  • 2 pkg
    (8 oz.) cresent rolls
  • ·
    cooking spray
  • 1 c
    confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp
    almond flavoring
  • 1 tsp
    whole milk

How to Make Almond Cinnamon Buns


  1. In a bowl add almonds,almond paste,brown sugar and cinnamon stir to combine. Set aside.
  2. using parchment paper unroll 1 pkg, crescent-roll dough smooth seams
  3. evenly spread half the butter over dough and then sprinkle with half the almond mixture.Beginning on long side roll up tightly.Slice into 6 pieces.
  4. Repeat with second pkg. of crescent dough.
  5. Spray two 6 cavity muffin tins, place a roll in each cavity and bake at 375 degree until golden brown bout 15 min,
  6. Remove from oven and let cool 20 minutes.
  7. Ina small bowl mix confectioners sugar almond flavoring, and milk till smooth.
  8. Remove rolls from muffin tins drizzle with icing. Serve immediately.
