3 tspbaking powder
1/4 tspbaking soda
4 Tbspcanola oil or melted butter
How to Make Quick Buttermilk Biscuits
- Preheat oven to 400
After oven is heated preheat baking pan. Add small amount of oil or butter to melt. Remove from oven when butter is melted or when oil is hot. About 2 minutes.
- In medium bowl add all dry ingredients. Mix well. Add buttermilk and oil. Stir until dough forms. Mixture may be lumpy. Do not ever stir.
- For drop dumplings drop biscuits by heaping tablespoon into preheated and oiled baking pan.
- For formed biscuits put dough onto floured surface. Knead about 10 times and roll out about 1 inch thick. Cut out biscuits. Place about 1 inch apart on preheated oiled baking pan and then turn biscuits over.
- Bake about 10 minutes
