low carb garlic cheddar biscuts made w/soy flour

Found a recipe for this and I made a few changes. just made them a little while ago and me and my step-daughter LOVE them! 57 calories and 1.2 carbs for each one for this batch. when I made them I did little disc. probably a tablespoonful then kind of flatten! The bottoms are cheddar crispy and they are soft and yummy like a regular biscuit!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soy flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder or roasted garlic powder

How To Make low carb garlic cheddar biscuts made w/soy flour

  • Step 1
    Add soy flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Mix until incorporated.
  • Step 2
    Add Cheese to mixture, mix well
  • Step 3
    Mix egg and yogurt and add to mixture above! (I use my hands at this stage).
  • Step 4
    Grab about 1 tablespoonful and kind of flatten them into disc. I got 17 out of this batch, you may get more or less depending on size. I added all the calories and carbs then divided by 17.
  • Step 5
    spread the butter on each one and sprinkle with your choice of spices or cheese!
  • Step 6
    bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes! the bottoms get crispy and the biscuit stays soft..my step-daughter said they taste a little like red lobsters biscuits! ENJOY!!!!!
