cream scones
These delicious tender scones, are great, served with your favorite jams, honey or just plain old butter...they go great with a cup of coffee...I served them with stew today...to sop up the delicious gravy. Enjoy! My photos

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups ap flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup heavy cream
- raw sugar - and extra cream for the tops - optional
How To Make cream scones

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degree F. Spray a baking sheet with non stick cooking spray.

Step 2In a medium sized bowl. mix the flour, salt, baking powder, sugar.

Step 3Add 1 cup heavy cream, and stir until dough comes together. On a lightly floured surface, knead 3 - 4 times.

Step 4Pat out the dough to bout 1 inch thick.

Step 5Cut into 8 triangles, and place on baking sheet. I brushed the tops with more cream and sprinkled with Turbinado sugar. Completely up to you.

Step 6Bake for 15 minutes, or until no longer doughy and starting to turn golden around edges. Serve warm...they are delicious with jam, honey or butter.
