cinnamon bisquick bites w/ maple sauce

I had already made these bisquit bites before, but w/ out the sauce. My husband came up w/ the idea of using maple syrup as a glaze over the bisquits and yummy they are!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups bisquick heart healthy bisquick mix
  • 2/3 cup fat-free milk
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon brewed strong coffee

How To Make cinnamon bisquick bites w/ maple sauce

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 400. Spray 12 muffin cups w/ cooking spray. In small bowl, stir together the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Step 2
    In bowl, beat bisquick mix and milk. Turn dough onto floured surface. Knead about 4 mins. Roll dough into lg triangle. Brush w/ melted butter.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle w/ 3/4 cup brown sugar mix. Sprinkle remaining brown sugar mix into each muffin cup. Roll dough jelly-roll style, tucking in ends. Slice into 12 biscuits. Place biscuits, cut-side down into muffin cups. Bake 10 mins. Turn out onto plate. In bowl, mix w/ a whisk, the powdered sugar, 2 tbsp milk, maple syrup and coffee. Drizzle over biscuits, serve warm.
