I had already made these bisquit bites before, but w/ out the sauce. My husband came up w/ the idea of using maple syrup as a glaze over the bisquits and yummy they are!

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    bisquick heart healthy bisquick mix
  • 2/3 c
    fat-free milk
  • 4 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • 1 c
    packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    plus 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp
    brewed strong coffee

How to Make Cinnamon bisquick bites w/ maple sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 400. Spray 12 muffin cups w/ cooking spray. In small bowl, stir together the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  2. In bowl, beat bisquick mix and milk. Turn dough onto floured surface. Knead about 4 mins. Roll dough into lg triangle. Brush w/ melted butter.
  3. Sprinkle w/ 3/4 cup brown sugar mix. Sprinkle remaining brown sugar mix into each muffin cup. Roll dough jelly-roll style, tucking in ends. Slice into 12 biscuits. Place biscuits, cut-side down into muffin cups. Bake 10 mins. Turn out onto plate. In bowl, mix w/ a whisk, the powdered sugar, 2 tbsp milk, maple syrup and coffee. Drizzle over biscuits, serve warm.
