st.gentian's table blueberry scones
St.Gentian's Table. St.Gentian was the patron Saint of Hospitality and food. At medieval re-enactment event a dear friend and great cook and I decided to put on a feast. The feast led to some catering and then the setting up a food merchant these medieval events around the area. These scones are a big success thank you you Ladyship Keinna de Savage.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2/3 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup butter, unsalted cold
- 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
- EGG WASH
- 1 small egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 3 tablespoons sugar
How To Make st.gentian's table blueberry scones

Step 1Put all dry inged. into a large bowl and mix well. Cut cold butter into dry mixture till it looks like small oatmeal. Put in blue berries. Add buttermilk and mix gentle by hand till the mixture comes together. Place dough on floured counter and form into a dinner plate size circle that is 1/2 inch think. Cut like a pizza into eight. brush top with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar. bake on parchment paper cookie sheet @400 for 15-20 min

Step 2Remember you can put whatever you like with this recipe. Ham & cheese with chives, sprinkle salt on top instead of sugar. Apple and Butterscotch, blueberry and white chocolate, the list goes on!!!
