These biscuits were made at night and allowed to rise overnight and shaped into biscuits for morning breakfast.
The pictured biscuit has a honey cinnamon butter on it. Recipe also below. The butter is a new addition to this recipe.
Honey cinnamon butter
1 stick butter, softened
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons powdered sugar
Mix all together and serve with biscuits.
How to Make SQUASH BISCUITS
- Add squash, sugar, salt, and butter to milk; when lukewarm, add dissolved yeast cake and flour; cover, and let rise over night. In morning shape into biscuits, let rise, and bake.
