Popeye's is the name of a chain of fast food fried chicken restaurants in the south. Along with their New Orleans style fried chicken, they serve the best biscuits. This is a really easy recipe for the southern style biscuits they are known so well for...Try them. They are so easy!

Ingredients

3 cups pioneer biscuit mix
8 ounces sour cream
3/4 cup 7-up or sprite
1 stick butter

How To Make popeye's biscuits

Step 1

Melt butter in bottom of baking sheet. Mix all ingredients into dough.

Step 2

Put out on floured board. Roll out and cut with a biscuit cutter of your choice.
Step 3

Place on buttered baking sheet at least 2" apart.
Step 4

Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 10-12 min. or until lightly browned. Brush with melted butter and serve.
