I'll be making some of these for Thanksgiving, because they're quick and healthy to boot.

Ingredients

  • 2-1/4 cup heart-smart bisquick baking mix
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives, or parsley, if desired

How To Make healthy, quick biscuits

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 450. In bowl, mix first 3 ingredients. Add 1 tbsp butter and chives, if using. It should be formed as a dough.
  • Step 2
    Turn onto lightly floured surface. Knead 220 times. Roll out to 1/2"-thick. Using a glass or a cutter, cut into biscuits.
  • Step 3
    Place biscuits on a cookie sheet, brush w/ remaining butter, flatten slightly. Bake about 10 mins or until light brown.
