Healthy, quick biscuits
I'll be making some of these for Thanksgiving, because they're quick and healthy to boot.
- 2-1/4 c
- heart-smart bisquick baking mix
- 2/3 c
- 1 tsp
- 2 Tbsp
- melted butter
- 1 Tbsp
- chopped chives, or parsley, if desired
1Heat oven to 450. In bowl, mix first 3 ingredients. Add 1 tbsp butter and chives, if using. It should be formed as a dough.
2Turn onto lightly floured surface. Knead 220 times. Roll out to 1/2"-thick. Using a glass or a cutter, cut into biscuits.
3Place biscuits on a cookie sheet, brush w/ remaining butter, flatten slightly. Bake about 10 mins or until light brown.
