A simple recipe for the most delicious light and fluffy biscuits.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Super easy to make, you'll want these garlic cheddar biscuits alongside all of your soups and chili. There's plenty of garlic in these flaky drop biscuits to add a lot of flavor and complement the cheddar cheese. Easy to make, these are the perfect biscuits for a less experienced cook.

How To Make garlic cheddar biscuits

Test Kitchen Tips
To make the biscuits uniform, we used a cookie scoop.
  • Mix the self-rising flour, garlic, cheese, and chives.
    Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the self-rising flour, garlic, cheese, and chives.
  • Slowly pour in the cream.
    Step 2
Slowly pour in the cream mixing as you go.
  • The dough is thick, but still sticky or shaggy.
    Step 3
The dough is thick, but still sticky or shaggy.
  • Scoop the dough and place on a baking sheet.
    Step 4
Now, you can make these either as small or large as you want. But for this recipe I made a smaller biscuit. Using a tablespoon-size or a bit larger, scoop up some of the dough and roll into a ball.
  • Slightly flatten each ball of dough.
    Step 5
Slightly flatten each ball of dough.
  • Bake for 15- 20 minutes until golden.
    Step 6
Place in the oven at 350 degrees for about 15- 20 minutes until golden.
