freezer biscuits
Cooking for one, maybe two? Don't need all those biscuits at one sitting? These are great to make, freeze & then just pop one or two out at a time. I do!

Ingredients
- - 2 cups all purpose flour
- - 4 tsp, baking powder
- - 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- - 1/4 tsp salt
- - 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- - 2 tbl. sugar
- - 2/3 cup milk
- - 1 egg (beaten)
How To Make freezer biscuits

Step 1Mix together flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, sugar, & salt.

Step 2Cut in shortening.

Step 3Beat milk & egg together & add to mixture.

Step 4Knead for a short time, just until dough form a good ball. Probably about 8 or 9 times. Not much!

Step 5Roll out dough and cut biscuits.

Step 6Freeze on a cookie sheet then remove and store in a freezer bag. Keep frozen until needed.

Step 7DO NOT THAW BEFORE BAKING.

Step 8Remove required number of biscuits from freezer & bake in oven at 425° for about 20 minutes or until done.
