Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 2 c
    + 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2/3 c
    shortening
  • 1 c
    milk

How to Make Deep Fried Biscuits

Step-by-Step

  1. Sift dry ingredients together, cut in shortening.
    Roll out on floured surface, knead 10-20 times. Roll out dough with rolling pin til about 2" thick cut biscuit shapes with cutter or I use a juice cup!
  2. Heat oil in heavy skillet to med high. Fry biscuits until golden on each side.
  3. I dip 1/2 in a cinnamon and sugar mix for desert and use the other half to go with dinner! Yummo!!
