Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard (optional)
- 1/2 cup shortening or butter
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
How To Make cornmeal drop biscuits

Step 1In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt and mustard; cut in shortening until crumbly.

Step 2Stir in cheese and milk until just moistened.

Step 3Drop by 1/4 cupfuls 2 inches apart onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 26-28 minutes or until golden brown.
