1/2 c
half-and-half cream

How to Make Biscuit Baking Mix

Step-by-Step

  • 1HOW TO MAKE THE BISCUIT MIX
  • 2In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt.
  • 3Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • 4Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place or in the freezer for up to 8 months.
  • 5HOW TO USE THE BISCUIT MIX
  • 6In a small bowl, add biscuit baking mix and cream, stirring until just until moistened
  • 7Turn onto a lightly floured surface; knead gently 10 times. Pat or roll out to 1/2-in. thickness; cut with a 2-1/2-in. biscuit cutter. (or just drop them on the pan)
  • 8Place 2 in. apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 425° for 13-16 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
