walnut dip
This is a great tasting dip and so good with fresh veggies and steamed artichoke petals. Very tasty used as a spread for your favorite sandwich too- like chicken or egg salad. Toasting the walnuts first will enrich the flavor for a sweet/nutty taste. I haven't tried candied walnuts yet , but that will give this dip a nice crunchy texture ,if you leave a few of the nuts in chunks.

Ingredients
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1 tablespoon sherry vinegar
- 5 tablespoons water or juice -such as orange or apple juice
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped chives
How To Make walnut dip

Step 1Place walnuts and all other ingredients in a blender and process until mixture is smooth. Add 1 or 2 more Tablespoons of water or juice if needed to get a smooth consistency. Stir in chives. Serve with steamed artichokes and stems or your favorite veggies or as a sandwich spread or egg salad.
