This is absolutely the best bean dip anywhere. Enjoy it with tortilla chips, or add some to your tacos or burritos. Don't tell anyone, but I even serve it in lieu of regular refried beans as a side dish!

  • 2 c
    basic refried beans (or one 15-16 ounce can of good quality canned refried beans)
  • 5 slice
    canned sliced jalapeños
  • 1 Tbsp
    brine from the bottled jalapeños
  • 1/2 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    granulated white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    sazón seasoning (optional) (available in the latin section...or make your own at Spring Hill Ranch's Sazón Seasoning )
  • 1/4 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/8 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground cayenne pepper

How to Make Spring Hill Ranch's Refried Bean Dip


  1. In the bowl of a food processor, place the beans, jalapeños, brine, salt, sugar, sazón (if using), onion powder, paprika, garlic powder and cayenne. Pulse-process until the mixture is smooth. Transfer the dip to a bowl and place it in the 'fridge for at least an hour before serving. Store it in the refrigerator.
