guacamole dip (sallye)

An excellent appetizer or side dish for Mexican food.

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe avacados
  • 2 large ripe tomatoes
  • 1 medium white onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 to 4 - chiles, serrano or jalapeno
  • 1/2 bunch fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How To Make guacamole dip (sallye)

  • Step 1
    Peel garlic clove and cut in half Cut chiles into halves (for milder dish, remove seeds and veins) Cut onion and tomatoes into quarters Remove stems from cilantro Place half of all of these items into food processor and mix until pureed
  • Step 2
    Remove pit from avocado, peel and cut into quarters Place avocado and remainder of other vegetables into food processor with pureed mixture. Add lime juice and salt Pulse in short bursts, leaving mixture a bit chunky.
  • Step 3
    NOTE: Place avacado pits in mixture until serving as it will help prevent browning If not serving immediately, place plastic wrap tightly over dish and store in refrigerator.
