i came across this recipe as i was trying some things for a cheese i needed for a demo. so i used what was in my cabinet and just put it together. My grandkids loved it because of the sugar and the fruit.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 can(s)
    broken pecans
  • 1 Tbsp
    brandy or brandy extract
  • 10 -14 oz
    wedge or round of brie
  • ·
    apples, pear wedges and seedless grapes
  • 1 c
    lemon juice
  • ·
    crackers

How to Make pecan glazed brie

Step-by-Step

  1. In a bowl stir together sugar, nuts and brandy. Place cheese on large oven proof platter or 9 inch pie plate. Bake in 500-degree oven 4 to 5 minutes or until cheese is slightly softened. sprinkle brown sugar mixture over top. bake 2 to 3 minutes or until sugar is melted and cheese i heated through but not melted. brush apples and pear wedges with lemon juice. arrange fruit and crackers around cheese.
