  • 2 c
    soaked chickpeas (use dried not canned if possible!)
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 medium
    onion chopped
  • 4 clove
  • 2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 2
    handfull fresh parsley
  • 1
    handfull fresh cilantro
  • ·
    salt ad pepper to taste

How to Make Oven Baked Falafels


  1. Soak dried chickpeas for 18 - 24 hours
  2. Preheat oven to 375F.
  3. Drain and rinse chickpeas and combine all ingredients in a food processor. Pulse until smooth and well-combined.
  4. Spray foil-lined baking sheet with cooking spray.
  5. Shape into large, round tablespoonfuls and place on baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until dry and a bit firm to the touch.
