Ingredients

  • 2 cups soaked chickpeas (use dried not canned if possible!)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 - handfull fresh parsley
  • 1 - handfull fresh cilantro
  • - salt ad pepper to taste

How To Make oven baked falafels

  • Step 1
    Soak dried chickpeas for 18 - 24 hours
  • Step 2
    Preheat oven to 375F.
  • Step 3
    Drain and rinse chickpeas and combine all ingredients in a food processor. Pulse until smooth and well-combined.
  • Step 4
    Spray foil-lined baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • Step 5
    Shape into large, round tablespoonfuls and place on baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until dry and a bit firm to the touch.
