This is my mother-in-law's recipe. I first had these at her house. I've had stuffed mushrooms at fancy restaurants in the past but never have I tasted any so good as this easy recipe! They look really cute when done, too--the hot sausage on the cream cheese makes them look like they still have their stems on.

Ingredients

24 - fresh button mushrooms
1 package cream cheese
1 package jimmy dean hot sausage

How To Make connie's addictive stuffed mushrooms

Step 1

Clean mushrooms and remove stems.

Step 2

Insert approximately 1 T. of cream cheese into every stemless mushroom--it should at least fill their cups, probably overflow a tad.
Step 3

Create a "Stem" of raw hot sausage for each mushroom and place one each on top of the cream cheese in every mushroom cup.
Step 4

Bake at 350 for approx 25 minutes. These are best served hot.
