cheesy onion and mushroom french bread
I wanted some type of french bread to go with our pasta and meatballs, but not the same ole, same ole, so this is what I came up with. This could be a vegetarian meal on it's own.

Ingredients
- 2 - loaf french bread
- 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
- 4-5 - baby bello mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
- - olive oil or butter
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- - red pepper flakes
How To Make cheesy onion and mushroom french bread

Step 1Saute onions and garlic in about 2 tbs. of olive oil or butter till tender. Add sliced mushrooms and cook about 5 min. more. I like to cover my skillet with a lid to hurry along the process.

Step 2Slice bread in half, slightly brush with olive oil or butter. Sprinkle grated mozzarella, add onions, garlic and mushrooms. Top with a little more mozzarella and some Parmesan and red pepper flakes. Place under broiler just long enough to melt cheese.
