bacon tomato dip for vegetables

I don't know where I first found this recipe, but I've used it at a lot of catering jobs in the past and always get rave revues. It's really easy and different from the "average" dip that you find with most vegetable crudites. (And its a yummy late night snack)

Ingredients For bacon tomato dip for vegetables

  • 1
    8 oz pkg of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 tsp
    celery salt
  • 1
    tomato, peeled, seeded and finely chopped
  • 2 tsp
    yellow mustard
  • 6 slice
    crisp cooked bacon, drained and crumbled
  • 1/4 c
    finely chopped green pepper

How To Make bacon tomato dip for vegetables

    In a small bowl stir together the softened cream cheese, mustard and celery salt. Stir in the rest of the ingredients. Serve with vegetable "dippers". Yield: about 2 cups

    Vegetable "dippers": Cherry tomatoes, carrot sticks, broccoli flowers, cauliflower flowers, celery sticks, pepper (green, red, yellow) strips, squash (yellow and zucchini), green onions and any other vegetable that can withstand a thick dip.
