avocado feta dip
It may not look like much, but this here is my award winning avocado feta dip. I submitted it to a work recipe contest featuring avocado and out of four hospitals worth of employees, it won and was served in the cafeterias of all four hospitals. It just so happened my future daughter in law's mother tasted it that day over 7 years ago and now I am serving it at the bridal shower before her daughter and my son tie the knot this summer.

Ingredients
- 1/2 - red onion, diced
- 1 - jalapeno, seeded and diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 - avocado, diced
- 1 cup cilantro, fresh chopped
- 3/4 cup feta, crumbled
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons oil, vegetable or olive
- - salt to taste
How To Make avocado feta dip

Step 1Saute onion and jalapeno in olive oil for about six minutes.

Step 2Puree the saute with remaining ingredients, except salt, until smooth.

Step 3Stir in salt until it reaches the point you feel is enough salt. Serve with toasted bread, pretzels, or fresh vegetable tray
