Ingredients
- 5 ounces tuna packed in water drained
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup kalamata olives chopped
- 2 tablespoons purple onion
- 2 tablespoons celery
- 1 tablespoon capers
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped roasted red peppers
- - salt and pepper to taste
- - tomatoes are optional
How To Make mediterranean tuna salad

Step 1In a bowl, place drained tuna, purple onion, and celery.Stir together.

Step 2Then add mayonnaise, and lemon juice and mix together with tuna, onion, and celery.

Step 3Now add Kalamata olives, roasted red peppers, basil, and capers. Blend these ingredients into the mixture. Taste. Then add salt and pepper.

Step 4I use this recipe as an appetizer. I place a spoonful of the mixture onto a thin slice of crusty bread, and a slice of tomato. My husband loves to stuff a tomato with this mixture and have it for lunch.
