This was another appetizer that I used for catering parties and was a winner as there never were leftovers.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons dry white cooking wine
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 - 7 3/4 oz can of crab meat, drained and flaked

How To Make hot crabmeat dip

  • Step 1
Combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, mustard and salt in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  • Step 2
Add wine gradually, then add crab meat. Check seasonings and adjust as needed.
  • Step 3
Transfer to chafing dish (or sometimes I've used a fondue pot) and serve hot with melba rounds or toast triangles for dipping. Yield: about 2 cups
