This was another appetizer that I used for catering parties and was a winner as there never were leftovers.

Ingredients

8 oz
cream cheese, softened
1 tsp
dijon mustard
2 Tbsp
dry white cooking wine
3 Tbsp
mayonnaise
1/4 tsp
salt
1
7 3/4 oz can of crab meat, drained and flaked

How to Make Hot Crabmeat Dip

Step-by-Step

  • 1Combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, mustard and salt in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  • 2Add wine gradually, then add crab meat. Check seasonings and adjust as needed.
  • 3Transfer to chafing dish (or sometimes I've used a fondue pot) and serve hot with melba rounds or toast triangles for dipping. Yield: about 2 cups
