This was another appetizer that I used for catering parties and was a winner as there never were leftovers.

  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp
    dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp
    dry white cooking wine
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1
    7 3/4 oz can of crab meat, drained and flaked

How to Make Hot Crabmeat Dip


  1. Combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, mustard and salt in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  2. Add wine gradually, then add crab meat. Check seasonings and adjust as needed.
  3. Transfer to chafing dish (or sometimes I've used a fondue pot) and serve hot with melba rounds or toast triangles for dipping. Yield: about 2 cups
