I have never made this BUT this a.m. I was reading a broccoli salad recipe and the gal had stated she could not find "this flavour/flavor of dressing on the grocery shelf lately, so I did what I thought might help....I googled! Enjoy

  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped fresh chives or chopped green onion
  • 3/4 c
    finely chopped "seeded" cucumber
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
    chopped fresh dill
  • ·
    salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste

How to Make Homemade Cucumber Salad Dressing


  1. Finely chop chives or green onion.
  2. Peel and seed cucumber
  3. Finely chop cucumber to measure 3/4 cup.
  4. Whisk mayonnaise, sour cream and chives or onion.
  5. Add chopped cucumber.
  6. Stir in milk as needed to thin mixture.
  7. Add dill and salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Chill for several hours or overnight before serving.
