I have never made this BUT this a.m. I was reading a broccoli salad recipe and the gal had stated she could not find "this flavour/flavor of dressing on the grocery shelf lately, so I did what I thought might help....I googled! Enjoy

yield 1 ~ 1&1/4 cups

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives or chopped green onion
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped "seeded" cucumber
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh dill
  • - salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste

How To Make homemade cucumber salad dressing

  • Step 1
    Finely chop chives or green onion.
  • Step 2
    Peel and seed cucumber
  • Step 3
    Finely chop cucumber to measure 3/4 cup.
  • Step 4
    Whisk mayonnaise, sour cream and chives or onion.
  • Step 5
    Add chopped cucumber.
  • Step 6
    Stir in milk as needed to thin mixture.
  • Step 7
    Add dill and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 8
    Chill for several hours or overnight before serving.
