Imagine, big, sweet, tender, succulent, shrimp; in a spicy garlic sauce. Don't forget your bread, you will want to sop up all the wonderful juices and oil. So good, perfect for family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces large or jumbo shrimp, peeled, cleaned and dried
  • pinch - sea salt + 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1/3 cup spanish olive oil
  • 4 - 5 cloves garlic, coarsely smashed
  • 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons sherry
  • parsley, garnish, optional
  • 3 lemon wedge, optional

How To Make garlic shrimp - spanish style

  • Step 1
    Season the prepared shrimp with salt and pepper on both sides and set aside until required.
  • Step 2
    Heat a large pan over medium heat until hot and add the oil, garlic and red pepper flakes to the hot pan, fry until the garlic starts to get golden brown.
  • Step 3
    Add the shrimp and fry until they are almost cooked ( 1 - 2 minutes) . Do not Overcook the shrimp.
  • Step 4
    Add the sherry and parsley to the pan and toss together. Taste and re-season with salt and pepper if necessary. Serve with crusty bread.
