(2 RATINGS)
My son and I have gotten into making fondue this year, especially during late-night football games. This is one of our favs.

Ingredients
- 1 cup beer
- 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon seafood seasoning/old bay
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1/2 pound crab meat, flaked (don't use imitation!!!)
- 1 dash hot sauce
- - salt, pepper, minced garlic
- 1 pound sharp cheddar, shredded
How To Make crabby cheddar fondue
-
Step 1I like to lightly rub minced garlic in my fondue pot before cooking. Heat 1 cup beer with lemon juice & brown sugar.
-
Step 2Slowly add shredded cheddar cheese (I like sharp aged). Melt, stirring constantly. Add cornstarch when cheese is melted and stir very well.
-
Step 3Add crab & then salt, pepper & seafood seasoning. I love this on crostini or pretzel rolls cut up in large chunks. We also dipped sauteed large mushrooms (whole) in it. YUM!
