Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast, boneless and skinless, cut in chunks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 - garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated fresh
  • - zest of one orange
  • 1/2 - red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 3 - scallions, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 1 - boston bibb lettuce head

How To Make chicken lettuce wraps

  • Step 1
    Chop the chicken into small pieces.
  • Step 2
    Preheat a large skillet to until hot and add oil to the pan.
  • Step 3
    Add the chicken to the pan and sear the meat by stir frying until meat is cooked, about 2 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Season with salt and pepper.
  • Step 5
    Add garlic and ginger, cook for about a minute.
  • Step 6
    Grate orange zest into pan.
  • Step 7
    Add the chopped bell pepper, water chestnuts and scallions, cook until tender, about a minute.
  • Step 8
    Add hoisin sauce and toss to coat mix evenly.
  • Step 9
    Enjoy the hot cooked chicken wrapped in the Boston bibb lettuce leaves.
