This is an Ina Garten recipe that I altered slightly - used lite sour cream and substituted 1 Tablespoon white wine/white vinegar combination (my white wine vinegar was in Ohio - I made it in Florida :)

I also reduced the salt from 2 tsp. to 1 tsp.

  • 12-14 oz
    plain green container (2 containers, 6-7 oz each)
  • 1
    english cucumber, seeded & grated, with skin
  • 1/4 c
    lite sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp
    white wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced fresh dill
  • 1+1/2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    fresh ground pepper

How to Make Tzatziki - Greek Dip


  1. Put yogurt in bowl. Grate cucumber into another bowl(I split it in half and seeded it first with a teaspoon or grapefruit spoon) on a box grater and squeeze some of the water out with your hands. Add to yogurt with sour cream, etc. and stir.
    Serve with store-bought pita chips or lightly brush pita bread with olive oil and grill, then cut in wedges. Alternatively, warm pita bread in oven, cut in wedges and serve.
