This is a recipe given to me by a friend, Janet Z. People go crazy for this. It's addictive.

Ingredients For texas cavier

1 cansylvia's field peas with snaps (drained, rinsed, and snaps removed)

1 canblack eyed peas, drained and rinsed

1 canshoepeg white corn, drained

1 ccilantro
-
2 Tbspfresh basil, chopped
-
2 bunchscallions-sliced thin
-
2-3 clovegarlic, minced
- DRESSING
-
1 Tbsptabasco sauce
-
1/2 Tbspblack pepper
-
1/2 Tbspdry mustard
-
1/2 colive oil
-
1/4 cred wine vinegar
How To Make texas cavier

1Combine peas, corn, cilantro, basil, scallions and garlic in a bowl.

2In a separate bowl, mix dressing ingredients then pour over pea mixture and stir. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

3Best made 1-2 days ahead of time to marinate.
