This simple appetizer is full of flavor. It's a little messy to make, so take your time and be gentle with the pastry. I hope you will enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons gruyere cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon sweet white onion, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons black olives, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons roasted red pepper, drained, dried, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon mango chutney
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 - 2 pinches fine sea salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground

How To Make savory pinwheels

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Step 2
    In a bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix well.
  • Step 3
    Unfold the puff pastry and gently spread the pastry with your prepared mixture; after you have done that then gently but firmly, roll it up.
  • Step 4
    Using a very sharp knife, cut into 16 even slices.
  • Step 5
    Place the slices on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
  • Step 6
    Bake for 15 - 20 minutes or until they are puffed up and golden on the edges.
  • Step 7
    Cool on cookie sheet on a wire rack for about 10 minutes and enjoy!
