I haven't met a hummus i don't like! This makes a healthy snack, especially when served with veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained (14 ounce can)
  • 6 tablespoons tahini
  • 3 cloves minced or grated garlic
  • 1 - lemon - juice & zest
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon cumin, or to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, optional

How To Make lemony hummus 2

  • Step 1
    In a blender or in the container from an immersion blender, puree garbanzo beans until smooth.
  • Step 2
    Add other ingredients and blend until evenly incorporated into bean puree. If too dry, add a tablespoon or two of water.
  • Step 3
    Drizzle olive oil over surface, if using. Serve with fresh veggies or pita bread/chips.
