Ingredients

  • 12 - frozen green mussels, thawed on the 1/2 shell
  • 1/4 cup cup extra virgin oil, divided
  • 2 tablespoons limoncello
  • 3 - garlic cloves, grated
  • 1/4 cup asiago cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/3 cup italian panko bread crumbs
  • 6 slices pancetta, cooked & crumbled
  • 2 - tomatoes, de-seeded & chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tablespoons italian parsley, chopped
  • - kosher salt for baking

How To Make italian stallion mussel sliders

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to broil, high heat
  • Step 2
    Combine 1/2 olive oil, limoncello, garlic, cheese and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix well.
  • Step 3
    Combine remaining olive oil with bread crumbs in a mixing bowl.
  • Step 4
    Pour 1/2 inch kosher salt into a large baking pan and place mussels on top of salt in baking pan.
  • Step 5
    Top each mussel with the olive oil mixture, pancetta and bread crumbs.
  • Step 6
    Broil on the middle rack for 6-8 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
  • Step 7
    Remove from oven and top with tomatoes and parsley
