I have bought Hummus in the deli section of supermarket many times. This "homemade" variety is so much better.

I prefer it with pita bread, whole wheat tortillas or served with crudites.

Ingredients

  • 2 can(s)
    chickpeas, rinsed & drained
  • 1/4 c
    tahini sesame butter
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 3 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp
    fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    cumin

How to Make Hummus

Step-by-Step

  1. Place all ingredients into a food processor (or blender) and process until very smooth. If too thick for your taste, add a little more water.
  2. Refrigerate in air tight container for 7-10 days.
