garlic cracked pepper & chive butter

This was one of the menu items for my husband's SPECIAL APPRECIATION DINNER ON SUNDAY. I WANTED THE ENTIRE MEAL TO BE special for all that he does, & started with this butter. It is quick & easy & quite simple, but has lots of flavor. Then I dressed it up on a little red plate & garnished it with an assorted colors of sweet mini peppers on a bed of kale. The minced garlic adds lots of flavor & infuses the butter. I served it with SISTER SCHUBERT'S DINNER ROLLS, the only thing on the menu that I did not make from scratch, but they're good on their own just as they are.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick salted butter, room temperature
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (more or less according to taste)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chopped chive
  • 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper

How To Make garlic cracked pepper & chive butter

  • Step 1
    Mince garlic into a small bowl, add softened butter, chopped chive & cracked pepper. Stir to blend together and either shap into a log or store in a small container, and garnish top with snipped chive. Serve at room temperature when ready to serve.
  • Step 2
    SPECIAL NOTES: Can chill & roll into a log and add a pat or two to steaks or serve at room temperature on hot bread or rolls. Make early to allow flavors to blend and marry.
