My friend gave me this recipe over twenty years ago and I have made it often since then. This is a great crowd pleaser, but be careful, there will be no left overs!

Ingredients
- 1-1 1/2 pounds sheepherders bread
- 16 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 16 ounces sour cream
- 1 large bottle of dried beef
- 1 bunch chopped green onion
How To Make fondue in a loaf

Step 1Hollow out the loaf of sheepherders bread. Save the top of the loaf.

Step 2Rinse beef in water to remove excess salt. Drain well, then chop up beef.

Step 3Blend cream cheese, sour cream, green onion, and beef, mixing well.

Step 4Pour into the hollow out loaf of bread and put the top of the loaf back on. Cover with foil. Bake in a 350 oven for one hour. Serve with bread cubes, fresh veggies, or chips.
