2 clove
garlic, minced
2 tsp
balsamic vinegar
1 Tbsp
olive oil
1 1/3 c
roma tomatoes, diced
1/3 c
green onions, sliced (green and white parts)
basil, fresh, diced (to taste)
1/8 tsp
black pepper
1/2 c
parmesan cheese (grated or shredded)

How to Make Bruschette


  • 1In a small bowl, stir together tomatoes, green onions, basil, olive oil, garlic, and pepper. Cover and chill.
  • 2For the toast, cut baguette into 1/2 inch slices. Brush both sides lightly with olive oil. Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 425F for about 5 minutes or until desired crispness and golden brown color is achieved. BE SURE TO TURN ONCE.
  • 3Top toast with tomato mixture and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Return to 425F oven for 2-3 minutes or until cheese starts to melt and topping is heated through. Enjoy!
