chinese inspired turkey meatballs w/ dipping sauce

I sometimes mix half ground pork and half ground turkey to make these tasty little meatball that are great for snacking on while watching a football game.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 4 pounds ground turkey
  • 3 large egg
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, fresh, chopped
  • 6-8 - green onions, chopped fine
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 teaspoons sesame oil
  • DIPPING SAUCE
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped

How To Make chinese inspired turkey meatballs w/ dipping sauce

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 500°F. Mix ground turkey, panko, egg, salt, scallions, ginger, cilantro, soy sauce, and 2 tsp oil and mix with your hands until combined well. Shape 1 heaping tablespoon meat mixture into a ball and transfer to a baking dish. Repeat with remaining mixture. Bake until cooked through, about 12-15 minutes.
  • Step 2
    For the dipping sauce mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar and water in a bowl. Add scallions. Transfer meatballs to a serving dish. Stir sauce, then drizzle meatballs with 1 tablespoon sauce. Serve meatballs with remaining sauce.
