Another creation for my dear sweet nephew Noah who is primarly vegetarian except for his chicken nuggets. I was so excited to see that I made these especially for him and at first he was taken back by the pineapple rolled in coconut. He asked what is that on the pineapple??? I said coconut and it is sweet, so he tried and liked it. Then, he had never had Kiwi before either and he tried that and liked it. Wow, what a fabulous way to encourage him to eat new things. Everyone love them and actually I was the only one who didn't get one. My two younger nephews were fighting over who would get the last one. hehe. I do hope you enjoy!!! Kim

Ingredients

  • 1 box assorted munchkins from dunkin donuts or any other donut shop. (just the donut holes)
  • 1 bunch fresh green seedless grapes
  • 1 package fresh pineapple, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 2 medium kiwis
  • 1 package fresh strawberries
  • 1 small seedless watermelon, 1/3 or so cut into chunks
  • - dusting of powered sugar for garnish
  • 1 - package of wooden skewers

How To Make fruit kabobs

  • Step 1
I have opted to place the donuts on the end of the skewers and not next to a juicy piece of fruit, so they won't get soggy.
  • Step 2
Take your pineapple chunks and roll them in coconut. Peel your kiwi and slice into pieces. Keep strawberries and grapes whole. Arrange any way you like. Dust with powdered sugar if you like.
  • Step 3
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Kiwi, but not everyone does. So, I only did a few skewers with Kiwi.
  • Step 4
These were our appetizers for our Birthday bash today and every single one of them went!
