I made these one day as a healthy alternative to fries that my grandchildren wanted. They loved them. Can be doubled or tripled.

Ingredients

  • 2 - grannysmith apples, peeled, cored, sliced into thick matchstick slices
  • 5 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

How To Make children's favorite baked apple fries

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350. Spray a baking dish w/ cooking spray. Place apple slices in one layer in baking dish.
  • Step 2
    In measuring cup, whisk together the water and cornstarch. Pour over apples and stir to mix.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle apples w/ sugar and cinnamon. Bake until tender, about 15 mins.
