blood orange, avocado, and red onion salad

I usually wouldn't buy a blood orange because of the expense but I had to try this recipe. We have had it twice--once using the white balsamic vinegar and once using regular balsamic. I liked it better with the white balsamic and it was a toss up for my husband because he liked it both ways. It not only makes a lovely salad but it is refreshing.

Ingredients

  • 1 - blood orange
  • 1 - avocado
  • 1/4 small red onion
  • 2 tablespoons white balsamic vinegar

How To Make blood orange, avocado, and red onion salad

  • Step 1
    peel and dice into chunks one blood orange
  • Step 2
    peel and dice into chunks one avocado
  • Step 3
    thinly slice red onion
  • Step 4
    Put into a small bowl and lightly toss. Serve on small plates and drizzle with a little of the balsamic vinegar
