yummy & buttery onion bacon pinwheels

I have been making these for years. My husband is a bigger onion fan than I am, so he eats the majority! I will sometimes substitute green or sweet onions for the regular onion, just for a change. They are good any way, and can be tweaked to your own taste. A good old standby recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 6 - crisply cooked bacon slices, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls

How To Make yummy & buttery onion bacon pinwheels

  • Step 1
    Pre-heat oven to 375º.
  • Step 2
    Combine onion, butter, bacon and parsley; mix well.
  • Step 3
    Separate dough into eight rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal.
  • Step 4
    Spread butter mixture over dough. Roll up each rectangle, starting at short end; cut into four slices.
  • Step 5
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet, cut side down; flatten slightly. Bake at 375º 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
