How to Make Tanta's Holiday Cheeseball
- 1Lay out wax paper and spread chopped pecans on top of it. Set aside.
Soften cream cheese.
Finely chop dried beef.
- 2In a medium mixing bowl, mix together cream cheese, dried chopped beef and 1/2 a pack of vegetable soup mix (if you add the whole thing it really overpowers the cheese). Mix very well to blend all ingredients. Don't worry if you cream cheese is a little mushy, it makes it easier to mix and you are going to chill it back to firm anyway.
- 3Roll into ball shape. Roll cream cheese ball on top of nuts to coat the outside well. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Serve with your choice of crackers.
