This is one of the best taco dips I've ever tasted and my family agrees! :)

Ingredients

  • DIP BASE
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 16 ounces cottage cheese
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • TOPPINGS
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 6 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 1/2 cups lettuce, shredded
  • 1 - tomato, diced small
  • - sliced black olives to taste

How To Make taco dip

  • Step 1
Mix softened cream cheese, cottage cheese and taco seasning with electric mixer. There will still be tiny lumps of cottage cheese (it doesn't completely puree').
  • Step 2
I spread it on an oval platter and spread a layer of salsa (Renfro's Habanero is great :), but think of others, Lol).
  • Step 3
If you sprinkle the onion on it first, it stays on better. Then put the grated cheese of your liking, shredded or chopped lettuce, the tomato and sliced black olives if you like.
  • Step 4
Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 2 hours. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips. I like Xochitl (no salt). Mmmmmmmmm!!! I'm hungry. :)
